Freak Out
My brother Mikey and his wife finally got the pictures from their wedding!

They're wedding was SO much fun!
They had a beautiful ceremony, yummy food, great company (my parents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins were all at one table with us and my sister-in-laws family is the best!) and TONS of dancing!!
There was one dance in particular that had everyone up...
Nope, not that one. Although it was beautiful!
I'm referring to this dance.
That is my 52 years young Dad discoing it up to Chic's Le Freak! He's still got it!!

My "new" office chair

Master bedroom mood board
So this is my plan for our master bedroom.......

Curtains will be this David Hicks fabric (and not the abstract floral above):
I will be reupholstering our headboard, which is much taller than the one shown, in a nubby tan tweed with nickel nailhead trim.
The silhouettes will be of our boys, made by me and I have two ottomans to make slipcovers for and add legs to.
The bolster pillow will be made out of this gorgeous Holly Hunt velvet:

I'll be making a throw pillow out of the ikat/chipper fabric above, (except in the charcoal colorway), with gray/blue piping.
Wall color and painted hardware are similar to ones that will be used.
Everything shown is similar to what I'm planning on doing. However, the same chandelier will be used in our room ... I LOVE it!!
I'm so excited to get this all done but I have a horrendous wall of wallpaper (2 layers!!!) to strip first.

Dining room curtains
Last week I finally finished the Dining room/nook curtains. I made them out of 6'x9' canvas drop cloths from Home Depot and navy/white grosgrain ribbon found at WalMart.
Please excuse the rest of this photo and try to focus on the cute drapery!! ; )
My In-laws bought me this chandelier for my birthday!!
It will go over the table, once it has been "tweaked" a little.
As you can see I still have the remove the wallpaper backing.....any suggestions?? I've heard that liquid fabric softener works well!??

Quiet Time
O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.
And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.
When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!"
