"When we view the blessings with which our country has been favored, those which we now enjoy, and the means which we possess of handing them down unimpaired to our latest posterity, our attention is irresistibly drawn to the source from whence they flow. Let us then, unite in offering our most grateful acknowledgments for these blessings to the Divine Author of All Good."

Declaration of the Cause and Necessity of Taking up Arms — 1775
"With hearts fortified with these animating reflections, we most solemnly, before God and the world, declare, that, exerting the utmost energy of those powers, which our beneficent Creator hath graciously bestowed upon us, the arms we have compelled by our enemies to assume, we will, in defiance of every hazard, with unabating firmness and perseverance employ for the preservation of our liberties; being with one mind resolved to die freemen rather than to live as slaves."

Glad you are back and blogging (and I'm back reading....3 kids are not easy on computer time). I am not brave enough to yardsale or do anything without a cart.
PS--how are your kitchen plans coming? Been seeing a lot of pins...
Nothing is easy with 3 kids! :) Still in planning stages with our kitchen, we weren't planning on doing anything for a while but my Aunt might be giving us some incentive. She's gutting the kitchen of the condo they just bought and being very generous with the cast offs.....we'll see! :)
